Our Ensemble

The aim of Ensemble Zeitfluss is to juxtapose works by great international composers of the 20th century with those of local composers. A major concern of the ensemble is to make the exciting eung of contemporary music and its beauty – mostly hidden from the general public – audible. The Ensemble Zeitfluss wants to perform forgotten, little-performed and unknown works of contemporary music.

In Spirito Mahler

The premiere of the concert IN SPIRITO MAHLER took place on YouTube on Easter Sunday 2021.

The programme with baritone Georg Klimbacher and the Zeitfluss ensemble begins with three “Wunderhorn” songs by the forefather of Austrian New Music. This is followed by the world premiere of Dana Cristina Probst’s ensemble work “Alba Carolina II”, the vocal cycle “Hubano Arien” by Christian Diendorfer and Alyssa Aska’s “arcanum” for chamber ensemble. And finally, there will be another world premiere, namely “Marley’s Ghost” by Christoph Renhart, in the new version for baritone and ensemble. Edo Micic will be conducting.

Between the performances, you can find out more about the works on this programme in short interviews.
