3 Orte Graz

On March 23, we are delighted to once again include Peter Ablinger in our concert program. His piece “3 Orte Graz” (3 Places in Graz) is a rare event in our concert program, as it is a wandering concert that will take place at three locations in Graz and simultaneously engage with their specific characteristics.

“Die Lautstärke ist abhängig von der „Antwort“ des Raumes: Im Idealfall würde der Raum die angespielten Formanten verstärken, sodaß die Lautstärke also eher vom Raum, als vom Spieler bestimmt würde.” (Peter Ablinger)

Thus, in addition to the musicians, the venues themselves play a significant role in this concert. The room formants and the path from place to place make this piece, composed especially for the specified locations, a unique three-part sound journey.
