Rain Coming

On Monday, 27th March 2023 at 8:00 pm in the Minoritensaal, Ensemble Zeitfluss will set out on a journey to uncover traces of origin, emergence, and change.

In his world premiere “Musik für Kammerorchester“, Shiqi Geng makes reference to social and political developments in his native China.

Toru Takemitsu turns raindrops into rivers in his composition “Rain coming“, which then flow into a sea of tonality.

In Orestis Toufektsi’s “timescales 2“, the boundaries between “exactly the same”, “almost the same” and “different” are explored by transferring the principles of scale formation to temporal-rhythmic structures.

In Sophie Reyer’s new composition “Balz“, angels and birds chirp and use musical materials to play with nature and advertising.
